Labor & Delivery Birth Center Tours
In-person birth center tours are temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19. We are sorry for the inconvenience. But you can still tour our birth centers virtually.
Our birth centers provide a safe and comfortable environment to you and your baby-to-be from labor through postpartum care. Our private birthing suites are designed to provide the greatest level of comfort while incorporating state-of-the-art medical technology and amenities. Take a look for yourself and let us know if you have any questions.

UW Medical Center – Northwest
Recently completed renovations in the childbirth center provide spacious, private rooms to mothers and their babies. The seven new labor and delivery rooms include jetted tubs, birthing tools such as a birthing ball and squatting bar, and a sleeper couch.

UW Medical Center – Montlake
Private birthing suites offer their own bathroom with whirlpool tubs, ample windows and birthing tools such as birthing and peanut balls and a squatting bar. Dedicated anesthesiologists are also available 24/7.

Valley Medical Center
The birth center features state-of-the-art amenities like private rooms, hydrotherapy whirlpool baths, birthing tools to help facilitate labor and a full range of options for managing pain, from massage to nitrous oxide to epidurals.
What you need to know
Our experienced team of obstetricians and certified nurse midwives offer expert care before, during and after the birth of your child. We believe that you, your partner and your support people are the most important members of your care team, and we want to ensure you're able to share this unforgettable experience with your family and loved ones.

The Birth Center at UW Medical Center – Montlake is dedicated to patient- and family-centered care during labor, birth and recovery, providing you with the birth experience you desire. Our services are right-sized for women who need care for either low- or high-risk pregnancies.

Parking at the UW Medical Center
- Parking is available in the underground Triangle Parking Garage, which is across NE Pacific Street from the medical center. After parking in the Triangle Garage, go to the medical center using the underground tunnel. Take the elevator or escalator up to the main entrance, located on the 3rd floor of the medical center.
- For valet parking, stop at the booth on the drive in front of the medical center near the main entrance. A valet will park your car in the Triangle Garage. The cost is the same as parking your car in the garage yourself.

The Birth Center at Valley Medical Center features specially trained nursing staff, midwives and OB-GYNs who deliver compassionate, family-centered care in a safe, nurturing environment.
